Fifth grade term papers take place throughout a large portion of the fifth grade year, and are worked on during Library, Computer, English, and Social Studies classes. Mrs. Orban, Mrs. Frederick, Mr.
Nittle, and Mrs. Bishop are all involved from start to finish.
All topics come from Ancient Egypt, and all phases of the project count as test grades in either English or Social Studies. Different teachers are responsible for guiding students through each phase, and for grading different phases.
While this is entirely an in-school project, and parent involvement is neither required nor allowed, we do want parents to be informed of the process, and to know what your fifth grader is working on. These links will give you a closer look at what is expected of your fifth grader:
