Financial Aid Application Information for Families    

Thank you for your interest in The Country School for the 2012-13 school year. To be eligible for consideration for financial aid at The Country School, you must complete your application by February 15, 2012. All financial aid application procedures for The Country School must be followed as described in the Financial Aid Letter. We will communicate decisions about financial aid by mid-April 2012. Please contact the Admissions Office for more information.

We use School and Student Services (SSS) to process financial aid applications. Based on the financial information you provide in the Parents' Financial Statement (PFS), SSS gives us an estimated amount your family can contribute to educational expenses. While we cannot always meet the level of aid your family qualifies for, this helps us make fair and objective financial aid decisions. To begin your financial aid application for the 2012-13 school year, please follow these steps below. (You only have to complete one Parents' Financial Statement, even if you have several children applying.)

Online Starting November 1, 2011    

Go to School & Student Services

Click on the Apply Now button.

You will set up a PFS Online account using your e-mail address and a password.

Returning Parents: If you completed an online PFS application last year, use your e-mail address and existing password. If you have forgotten your password, click on Forgot My Password.

Submit and pay for the PFS ($37). This fee is nonrefundable.

If you apply for financial aid online, your information will be delivered more quickly to our school, allowing us to make a faster decision about your eligibility for financial aid. Note: copies of required documents must also be sent to the school as described in the Financial Aid letter.

By Mail    

To complete a paper Parents' Financial Statement form:

To request forms, call the Admissions Office 410-822-1935x130.
 
Complete the PFS and return it with nonrefundable payment ($49).

The PFS comes with a Required Documents Cover Sheet and large envelope you can use to send in additional documents that we require. Call (800) 344-8328 with any questions (Mon - Fri: 9am - 8pm EST. Sat: 9am - 4pm EST).
Additional Documents We Require    

Our school requires that you submit to SSS by mail or online your 2011 1040 tax form and all schedules, in addition to your completed Parents’ Financial Statement. We must receive these documents by February 15, 2012.

To submit these documents by mail, send one copy (not the original) of each document with a Required Documents Cover Sheet to:

To submit these documents online, go to the Manage Documents tab in the PFS Online. There you can upload documents from your computer. Save each document separately in one of the following formats:

  • Adobe Acrobat pdf
  • Microsoft Word
  • .jpg
  • .tif

On the Manage Documents page, click on “Browse,” locate the document, then click on “Upload.”
