The continued growth of the Endowment remains a priority in order for the school to moderate tuition growth and provide security for its future. Investments of endowment funds are conservative and diversified and include domestic and international equities as well as fixed-income investments in order to balance the need for immediate revenue with the necessity of preserving assets for the future.
Why is the endowment critical? While The Country School relies heavily on traditional sources of income (annual gifts and tuition) to take care of immediate needs, the endowment is critical to its long-term success, as the life of a school spans countless generations and provisions for students, faculty, and facilities are on-going.
