From the President of The Country School Parents’ Association (CSPA)

Welcome to the CSPA! As a Country School parent, you are an important part of the link between our families and the school. Throughout the year, the CSPA sponsors a variety of important events. Social events such as parent coffees, special gatherings and Family Fun Night are excellent ways to meet other parents in a casual setting. Fundraisers like our Innisbrook gift wrap initiative, fall Rummage Sale, fall and spring Book Fairs, annual Gala/Auction, and spring Flower Market are great ways to get involved and work with others for the benefit of the school. You are invited, and always welcome, to participate in any or all of these activities. No matter where your talents lie, or what your availability allows, there is some way for you to contribute. Current and past Country School parents will tell you that they made some of their best friends through their involvement at school - similar interests bring new people together in a volunteer opportunity, and fast friendships are forged.

The CSPA funds many events throughout the school year, and students are especially grateful to their parents for funding amazing assemblies, competitive athletics, exciting field trips and a strong outdoor education program. Parents are grateful to have back-to-school supplies pre-purchased and waiting in their child’s classroom on the first day of school, knowing that every child starts the year with the same supplies. Teachers enjoy an annual luncheon in their honor sponsored by the CSPA. Everyone looks forward to the annual Holiday Breakfast, followed by a festive assembly and send-off to winter break.

The Parents’ Association helps make The Country School extraordinary. Our students have a passion for the school not only because of the various activities funded by the CSPA, but also because of the dedication of parent volunteers. They quickly learn that volunteerism is fulfilling and rewarding work. The Country School is unique in its “user-friendly” approach to parent involvement. Our parents enjoy being a part of their child’s educational experience and watching the day-to-day growth of their children. You will notice parents at the school on a daily basis, helping with various projects around campus and in the classroom. Parents routinely drop off their students at the classroom, and are often there to meet them at the end of the day as well. This ability to be a part of The Country School experience is special to our school.

The CSPA thrives because of the strong sense of volunteerism. Dedicated groups of volunteers - past, present and future - are truly the heart and soul of this dynamic organization. To our new members, we welcome you to The Country School family, and look forward to our years volunteering together. To our returning and past parents, thank you for all of your support. Please consider sharing your special talents and precious time with us.
