Started by an enthusiastic group of students, The Cougar Times is The Country School’s very own student newspaper. Students in grades 5-8 are responsible for every facet of the paper – reporting, photography, editing, and layout. Mr. Chris Nittle and Ms. Cathy Steg supervise the paper, and provide guidance as needed, including instruction in the key elements of journalism. Student editors and a team of regular reporters and photographers staff the paper, but other members of the student body are encouraged to contribute free lance articles and pictures.
