Cultivate the top Pre-k to 8 faculty and administrative team in the mid-Atlantic region.

Ensure The Country School has a team capable of delivering a rigorous, academic program by empowering high quality and engaged teachers in all classrooms.
Maintain a consistently high standard of performance for faculty by identifying standards and evaluation criteria for faculty at all grade levels.
Provide innovative supports for excellent faculty to build their careers by developing a sustainable and effective talent and retention program.

Deliver a compelling and challenging fundamentals-focused Pre-k to 8 academic program.

Faculty, administration, and staff articulate a clearly-described academic journey by documenting the academic program and philosophy in each grade level.
Appropriately meet and challenge students to enable them to achieve academic success utilizing metrics and data-gathering to shape each student’s learning journey.
Document the impact of the The Country School program on our graduates by conducting a series of benchmarking studies to demonstrate the value and competitiveness of the TCS academic program.

Together for Community

Cultivate a school culture rooted in joy and belonging that promotes purposeful learning, global citizenship, and the core values of The Country School.

Ensure all families full access to and participation in the life of the school by investigating inclusive practices to reduce barriers across all school constituencies.
Produce well-rounded graduates who are prepared for academic, athletic, and creative challenges by expanding signature programs that support student wellness and academic extensions beyond the classroom.
Promote global perspectives by inviting the community into the school and the school into the community through action-oriented, strategic partnerships.

There is a great comfort in knowing your child is truly seen. The teachers at The Country School are so much more than instructors; they are mentors who invest in the ‘whole’ child. The Country School turns every morning handshake into a foundation of trust, proving that children achieve their best when they feel they truly belong.
