Student Publications

Cougar Cub

The Lower School’s semi-annual literary magazine, Cougar Cub, gives a taste of the composition skills students have been working on, in the form of creative writing, literary response, and expository writing. This publication also includes a variety of art pieces. It is a full-color print publication that comes out once each Fall and each Spring.

Cougar Online

The Upper School’s literary magazine, Cougar Online, showcases student compositions completed in English class. From poetry to journal entries to literary response, the work published here represents the wide variety of writing genres developed in English, and gives students the chance to show off their polished written work, as well as art pieces completed in art class. Cougar Online is published three or four times a year.

Cougar Times

The Cougar Times is managed by two student editors and is composed of Upper School reporters and photographers. They produce three print issues per year that include faculty interviews, Lower School and Upper School news, editorials, sports statistics, and fun activities such as word searches or “Find the Difference” picture comparisons. The paper is overseen by a few faculty and staff but is run with much autonomy by the two student editors. Ownership of this process creates valuable lessons in responsibility and time management.
