The Country School's application and admission process supports our mission: to seek a diverse student body and provide a challenging academic program in a warm, nurturing environment. The School provides an age-appropriate structure with complementary classes in the arts, music, technology, and physical education.
The Application Process
For families interested in learning more about The Country School, we invite you to contact our Admissions Director to learn more. The following steps are part of the application process:
- Schedule a visit with our Admissions Director.
- Complete our online application and pay the $60 application fee;
- Request that our recommendation form be completed by your child's current teacher.
- Submit a copy of your child's most recent report card (required for grades 1-8).
For applicants rising to grades Pre-k through 5, a 45-minute assessment with our Lower School head is required. This is is fun, play-based format in which we can get to know your child and conduct a basic skills assessment. There is nothing you need to do to prepare your child in advance.
For applicants rising to grades 6-8, an academic assessment is conducted by our Head of Upper School and takes 60-90 minutes.
The Country School offers need-based financial aid to families with a demonstrated need.
