At The Country School, we believe that education is about more than just academic success—it’s about nurturing the whole child. We partner closely with families to support not only intellectual growth, but also the development of strong character and emotional well-being. Our goal is to prepare students to become thoughtful, compassionate, and resilient individuals who are ready to lead with integrity.
While our rigorous academic program challenges students to think critically, communicate effectively, and solve problems creatively, we are equally committed to cultivating character. From Pre-k through Grade 8, our teachers intentionally weave character education into classroom lessons, social interactions, athletic endeavors, and extracurricular activities. At every stage, instruction is age-appropriate, relevant, and rooted in real-life experience.

Each month, the entire school community focuses on one of nine Country School Core Values. However, these values are not confined to a single lesson or month—they are emphasized organically throughout the school year whenever opportunities arise, whether in a classroom debate, on the playground, or during a team practice.
These values are more than words on a poster—they are lived every day. They form the bedrock of our missions to educate students not only for high school and college, but for life.
