Payment Options

Three payment plans are offered to accommodate the needs of Country School families. Every family makes a non-refundable deposit with the enrollment contract; the remainder of the tuition may then be paid in one of three ways:

  • One-Payment Plan: A 10% deposit is due with the enrollment contract. The balance is paid in one payment on or before August 1. Tuition Refund Insurance is optional.
  • Two-Payment Plan: A 10% deposit is due with the enrollment contract. The balance is paid in two equal installments, which are due on August 1 and February 1. Tuition Refund Insurance (1.65% of tuition, less any financial aid) is required.
  • Monthly Payment Plan: A 10% deposit is due with the enrollment contract. The balance of tuition is paid on a 10-month payment schedule from August 1 through May 1. Tuition Refund Insurance (1.65% of tuition, less any financial aid) is required. One-time administrative fee of $150.

Affordability

The Country School believes in forging a partnership with parents in the education of their children. Families who enroll their children represent a broad spectrum of professions and incomes, and our varied payment plans help bring the benefits of a Country School education to many. In order to bring talent and diversity to the student body, financial aid is also offered to those who demonstrate need.

All financial aid is awarded on the basis of need and the availability of financial aid funds. Thirty to forty percent of our families receive some financial aid each year. Financial aid awards are continued in subsequent years, so long as there remains a demonstrable need and funds are available. Families reapply each year in order to continue to receive financial aid.

The process of applying for financial aid is completely confidential and is the same for a new applicant or for a re-enrolling student.

The deadline to apply for financial aid at The Country School for the 2024-2025 school year is February 15, 2024 for returning families. Additionally, required tax documents must be uploaded no later than March 15, 2024.

Financial aid applications for new families can be considered on a rolling basis, however it is important to note that financial aid awards are distributed on a first come, first served basis. It is strongly recommended that new families apply for financial aid as soon as possible in the admissions process.

Financial Aid FAQ

List of 5 items.

  • How do I apply for financial assistance?

The Country School employs the NAIS School and Student Services needs analysis to estimate a family's potential contribution. This document provides more information on that process.
  • How do separated or divorced parents apply for financial assistance?

In the case of divorce or separation, the School requires both parents to complete the SSS Parent Financial Statement (PFS) and submit all tax returns and supporting documentation. Should a legal agreement exist regarding which parent pays educational expenses, this may exempt one parent from submitting financial information.
  • Is financial aid a component of the admission decision?

The Country School abides by a need-blind admissions process and does not consider financial need in the assessment of the applicant’s candidacy.
  • Will I qualify for financial assistance?

Qualifying for financial aid is completely needs-based. The Country School's financial aid budget does not always allow for the admittance and funding of all qualified applicants. If an applicant qualified for an award but sufficient funds are not available, the applicant may be put on a wait list, should funds become available.
  • Will my financial information be kept confidential?

The Country School keeps all financial aid information confidential and does not in any way identify recipients of financial aid. Likewise, families are advised that disclosing an award is against School policy.
“I just want to thank all the teachers for giving [our children] such a great foundation, enriching them in such a caring environment, [and] instilling values that make them want to give back.”
