Cougar Fund

We are proud to call our ANNUAL FUND: THE COUGAR FUND

Annual donations to the Cougar Fund are integral to The Country School’s fund raising program because they provide a broad foundation of support for the School’s most pressing needs. Tuition alone does not cover the actual cost to educate each student, nor does it generate the funding necessary for major capital improvements, endowment, or other projects.

List of 3 items.

  • How do I contribute?

The school’s fiscal year runs from July 1 through June 30. At the start of the school year, you will receive a Cougar Fund appeal in the mail. Gifts can be made by cash, check, stock transfer, or credit card. Either return the remittance envelope or make your gift online through our secure website.

The Country School is a charitable 501(c) 3 organization, and therefore contributions are tax deductible in accordance with the law.

If you have any further questions about the Cougar Fund, please contact the Advancement Office.
  • How much should I give?

We hope that The Country School will be your family’s top philanthropic priority. Only you can decide how much you wish to commit. Please know that no matter the amount, we appreciate every gift we receive. The more dollars raised, the stronger and more flexible the operating budget. In our small economically diverse community, your gift added together with gifts from other donors can accomplish great things.
  • I hear reference to the “gap.” What is this?

The “gap” refers to the difference between tuition and endowment income and the actual cost of educating one child at The Country School. Gifts to the Cougar Fund provide a “hidden grant” for each student, helping to make up this difference and thereby slowing the rate of tuition growth.
“I am so grateful for the education I received at The Country School, and I honestly do not believe I would be the same person without it. The Country School was able to shape me into a determined and ambitious individual, and I am so thankful for that!”
