The Country School welcomes seasoned TCS parent Denise Yarbough-Smith as our new 3rd grade teacher.
Denise was a stay-at-home mother and actively involved with the Country School and our broader community before joining our faculty full time. She chaired our Silent Auction Committee in 2019 and has coordinated many other school and social events in the Easton area. Denise has also served as a substitute teacher, library assistant, classroom mom, CSPA secretary, and field hockey and soccer coach.

Prior to having children, Denise was a Special Education teacher for Anne Arundel County Public Schools. She earned a Masters of Arts in Leadership in Teaching through a resident teacher cohort program between Anne Arundel County Public Schools and The College of Notre Dame of Maryland. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Speech Communication from Millersville University and is currently pursuing her Ed.D in General Education online via North Central University.

Denise enjoys traveling with her husband Taalib and daughters Kayla '21 and Kylee '24.
