2022 Summer Camp Guide
Check out the many great ways to keep your kids busy this summer with our 2022 Summer Camp Guide!
Camps on drawing, mixed media, and animals of the rainforest are just some of the offerings from AAM. Camps run throughout the summer and range in cost from $110-145.
Camp Bumblebee (ages 2-3), Camp Pollywog (4-6), Camp Turtle (4-6), Camp Paw Paw (7-9), and Camp Egret (10-12) meet from June through July and range in price from $105-165, depending upon member status. Camps are nature-based so that children get hands-on experiences outdoors.
From Plein Air art camp to filmmaking, the Avalon has something for every child this summer. Camps begin in late June and range in cost from $175-275. Dates are still being finalized, so check back for registration.
CYC offers three sessions of sailing camp, rain or shine from 9am-3pm 6/27-7/8 (excluding 7/4), 7/11-22, and 7/25-8/5. $465-$515.
Archery, river trekking, arts and crafts, and horseback riding are just some of the summer camp options at Camp Pecometh in Centreville. Fees vary greatly from $259-669, so please visit the link above for more information.
Part of the YMCA of the Chesapeake’s offerings, Camp Racing Moon offers sleep-away camping for families. Campers will swim, canoe, fish, zipline, and much more. YMCA member price is $400/family of 4, plus $75 for additional family members. Non-members $450.
Camp Tockwogh offers 3-day mini camps, 1- or 2-week sleep-away camps, sailing and water sports camps, and more. Rates range from $420 to $2,415.
Located on picturesque Kent Island, Camp Wright in Stevensville is a faith-based camp for active kids offering both day and residential camps.
Is your child a natural steward of the environment? Then this might be what you’re looking for. CBEC offers camps for children entering kindergarten through 12th grade.
CBMM offers day camps for children ages 4-15, including Bay Crusaders, Shipwrecked, Chesapeake Critters, and more.
The Country School is thrilled to once again offer great summer programming to our students and those in our greater community. Our teachers have planned a stellar lineup up experiences, from Up, Up, and Away! where kids experiment with flight-related projects to Role-Playing Games where their creativity is the only limit. There is an option for every age at EHOS. Situated on the upper eastern shore of the Chesapeake Bay, Echo Hill offers day and residential programs for children and their families. Explore science and ecology, history and culture, and adventure course and group development.
For aspiring golfers ages 6-17, Hog Neck offers 2.5-hour, 4-day camps once per month in June, July, and August. Register by email or at the Pro Shop.
This downtown Easton favorite offers half-day week-long camps for children ages 6-13. Summer ’22 dates will be published in mid-February.
The Lab is offering martial arts and STEM-based camps this summer on topics such as Powerhouse Science and Animal Planet. Click the link above for more details.
The MRYC Junior Sail program is for children ages 6-18. Summer campus run all summer long and include knot-tying, sailing, swimming, and more.
Pickering Creek is only offering family adventures again this year, with no camps for children. Learn more at the link above.
Schrader’s safety-based program teaches kids about proper methods for shooting shotguns, 22s, air rifles, archery, and fishing. One-day camps in June, July, and August. Dates TBD.
SMCC has after-school programs during the year, as well as summer offerings from cooking to crabbing to sports. Contact the Center for more information.
Children ages 5-12 may sign up weekly or for the entire summer for camp with TCPR. Activities include field trips, sports, swimming, arts and crafts, movies and more. Camps are available from June 17 to August 23 from 7am-6pm. Contact TCPR for more details.
TTR offers summer programs for children ages 8-17. Students learn to groom, tack, lead, ride, and do scavenger hunts, movies, arts and crafts, and much more. $275/week.
Classes in the Junior Sailing Program are for children ages 6 and up and run June to August. Private lessons, opti racing, and regatta coaching are also available.
Tuckahoe offers day camps and family challenges, including hiking, canoeing, fishing, and much more. Contact the park for more information.
YMCA of the Chesapeake holds camps throughout the summer for children as young as 3, including traditional camps and specialty camps beginning at $130 for members. Contact the Y for more information.

Kindergarten Students Serving Others!
Kindergarteners have been participating in a 3 part HOHO (Helping Others; Helping Ourselves) project lead by Ferris and Laura Butler. Students packed boxes to be shipped to veterans and their families. The boxeswere filled with child friendly, donated items. Also in the boxes were handwritten letters from the students along with a handmade American flag craft. The Butlers carefully orchestrated this project, and we are very grateful for their time and efforts. -
Spring Athletic Award Winners
Congratulations to all our spring athletics award winners and to all our Cougar athletes who participated in sports and clubs! This spring, TCS offered Boys’ and Girls’ Lacrosse, Pickleball Club, Running Club, and Volleyball Club. Providing so many athletic opportunities took a village—thank you to our amazing coaches, volunteers, and parent drivers for making it all possible!
