Summer Camp Guide 2019

If you are already piecing together your child's summer in March, you are not alone! Use this handy guide to explore all the options in Easton and beyond for your child to have a great summer in 2019.
Design and Print Your Own T-Shirt, Masterpieces from Little Hands, and Animal Art Adventures (which includes a visit from exotic animals from the Salisbury Zoo) are just some of the offerings from AAM. Camps run throughout the summer and range in cost from $100-175. Most are for children, but adults are welcome at some.
 
Camp Bumblebee (ages 2-3), Camp Pollywog (4-6), Camp Paw Paw (7-9), Camp Egret (10-12), and Camps Sassafras (13-15) meet from June through July and range in price from $75-185, depending upon member status. Camps are nature-based so that children get hands-on experiences outdoors.
 
From comedy to singing and storytelling to poetry, the Avalon has something for every child this summer. Camps begin in late June and range in cost from $175-275.

Camp Mardela
Camp Mardela is a Christian camp affiliated with the Church of the Brethren. Their camp offerings focus on physical and emotional safety, skill development, and age-appropriate programming that is exciting, educational, and enriching. Camp Mardela offers kayaking, archery, arts and crafts, horseback riding, outdoor adventures. culinary arts, and performing arts camps to children in grades 2 and up.
 
Archery, river trekking, and horseback riding are only three of the summer camp options at Camp Pecometh in Centreville. Fees vary greatly, so please visit the link above for more information.
 
Want your child(ren) to experience a 3-day mini camp, or would you prefer an option for the whole family? Camp Tockwogh has both, and more.
 
Located on picturesque Kent Island, Camp Wright in Stevensville is a faith-based camp for active kids offering both day and residential camps. $235-680.
 
Is your child a natural steward of the environment? Then this might be what you’re looking for. CBEC offers camps for children entering kindergarten through 12th grade.
 
This beloved pre-K program in downtown Easton offers nature, music, and other camps for summer of 2019. Prices range from $50 for “baby and me” classes to $125 for drop-off camps.
 
This farm in Stevensville was conceived to offer support to challenged young adults and offers multiple week-long camps throughout the summer for children ages 5-10.  
 
There is an option for every age at EHOS. Situated on the upper eastern shore of the Chesapeake Bay, campers can stay in cabins for sleep-away camp or come just for day camp
 
For aspiring golfers ages 6-17, Hog Neck offers 2.5-hour, 4-day camps once per month in June, July, and August.
 
This downtown Easton favorite offers half-day week-long camps from 9am to 12pm for children ages 6-13. Camps are $200/week and families may choose from a variety of themes.
 
Children ages 4-12 and teens 13 and up can learn about self-defense through games and drills. Multiple sessions throughout the summer and run from 9am-4pm at $50 per day. 

Oxford Kids' Camp
The Oxford Kids' Camp offers four sessions June through July. Swimming, art, nature, and archery are just some of what campers will experience. $200/week.  
 
EcoCamp at Pickering Creek is available for children entering kindergarten through 7th grade. Days at EcoCamp are filled with swimming, ponding, hiking, crafts, meeting animals, and a whole lot more that will fill your little naturalist with even more curiosity about the world around them. (Note: Registration begins in early March and camps sell out quickly!)
 
For students passionate about learning about and improving the environment, PWEC offers Marine Biology Camp (grades 5 & 6) in June, and Chesapeake Crusaders (grades 7 & 8) and Working Water Experience (grades 4-7) in July. Camps run 9am-4pm in Tilghman Island for $200.
 
Schrader’s safety-based programs teach boys and girls about proper methods for shooting shotguns, 22s, air rifles, archery, and fishing. 
 
SMCC has after-school programs during the year, as well as summer offerings from cooking to crabbing to sports. Contact the Center for more information.
 
Children ages 5-12 may sign up weekly or for the entire summer for camp with TCPR. Activities include field trips, sports, swimming, arts and crafts, movies and more. Camps are available from June 17 to August 23 from 7am-6pm. $150.
 
Classes in the Junior Sailing Program run June to August, and there is a Junior Instructor Program for kids 6-18. Private lessons, opti racing, and regatta coaching are also available.
 
Tuckahoe offers day camps to children ages 8-14 in June and July. Themes involve fishing, nature art, canoeing, learning about native animals, and much more!
 
YMCA of the Chesapeake holds camps throughout the summer for children as young as 3, including traditional camps and specialty camps beginning at $130 for members.
